Here there is a list of the national Italian public holidays 2015, which are basically the same every year, except for Easter.
New Year’s Day: 1 January
Epiphany: 6 January
Good Friday: 3 April
Easter: 5 April
Easter Monday: 6 April
Liberation Day: 25 April
Labour Day: 1 May
Republic Day: 2 June
Assumption: 15 August
All Saints’ Day: 1 November
All Souls' Day: 2 November
Immaculate Conception: 8 December
Christmas Day: 25 December
St Stephen’s Day: 26 December
New Year's Eve: 31 December
In addition to them, there are also so many local feast days which are held in honour of town patron saints, such as:
Turin/Genoa/Florence: 24 June (St. John the Baptist)
Milan: 7 December (St. Ambrose)
Siena: 2 July and 16 August, Palio horserace
Venice: 25 April (St. Mark)
Bologna: 4 October (St. Petronius)
Naples: 19 September (St. Gennaro)
Bari: 6 December (St. Nichola)
Palermo: 15 July (St. Rosalia)
Rome: 29 June (St. Peter)
Trieste: 3 November (St. Giusto)
Saluzzo (my hometown): 7 September (St. Chiaffredo)
Apulia: Night of Tarantula August (almost the whole month)
We also have other festivities we celebrate, which are not considered as holiday, so they are like ordinary days.
Holocaust Remembrance Day: 27 January
Father's Day: 19 March
Women's Day: 8 March
Mother's Day: 10 May (it's always celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of May)
Grandparents' Day: 2 October
My favorite one is definitely the last one, which is a celebration introduced in Italy only on the 31st of July 2005. They picked the 2nd of October as a day because according to the Catholic calendar it commemorates the Guardian Angels. Grandparents are like angels, and I am so proud I have 2 of the best grandparents ever, who raised me and made me who I am.
Talking about public holidays it's interesting to say most of them are related to religion, also due to the fact we have the Pope in Rome and it would insane not to respect some traditions.
What about your country? What are the bank holidays over there?
